About Us

Built in the eighteenth Century and surrounded by the beautiful forests and woods of Wimborne, the Horton Inn is the chance to take a step back in history and revel in the majestic traditional English surroundings. The inn is described as 'the rendezvous of many a daring poacher for operations in the adjoining forest' by Thomas Hardy, and we have an open fire and cosy bar with excellent quality pub food. If you’re too tired to travel on then you can make the most of our great hotel accommodation with several en-suite rooms, making the Horton Inn perfect for that well deserved rest.

  • Piri Piri Chicken Wings

    BBQ chicken wings served with a spicy Piri Piri sauce and cool sour cream and chive dip.
  • Goat's Cheese and Caramelised Onion Bruschetta

    Toasted ciabatta bread, drizzled with oil and topped with a melted goats cheese and caramelised onions.
  • Steak and Marston's Ale Pie

    Tender Chunks of steak cooked in a rich Marston's Pedigree Ale gravy, encased in a shortcrust pastry and served with chips and seasonal vegetables.
  • Aubergine Moussaka (V)

    Grilled aubergine in a rich tomato sauce, layed with sliced potatoes, topped with a cheese cream sauce. Served with garlic bread and side salad.
  • BBQ Ranch Burger

    Our classic beef burger topped with bacon, melted cheese and BBQ sauce.
  • Lemon Bakewell Tart £3.60

    A variation on the traditional Bakewell. Sweet pastry filled with tangy lemon curd, topped with a lemon and almond sponge and finished with an almond drizzle.
  • Little Cheesecake Club £3.95

    A trio of your favourite cheesecakes! Chocolate, lemon and classic vanilla topped with the fruits of the forrest. You could share.....but why should you?
